Border

I’ve been reading a wonderful book recently titled “Linchpin” and throughout author Seth Godin talks about how every artist needs to be willing to share his/her work/ideas with the world, unafraid of the thought that somebody might steal the idea.  Art is not art unless there is an audience he explains (and I agree). So with that in mind I am going to put my balls on the line and share the root of a commercial concept I have been thinking about:

A white, unmarked van is driving on an unmarked road in a desert. The vehicle is bumping along when they are pulled over by some government agent type.  The agent walks up to the van and taps on the glass. The window rolls down and in the drivers seat is a hispanic man. The agent begins questioning the driver about what’s in the car. The driver looks suspicious and when the agent asks if he can take a look inside, the vans doors fly open and 20 or so white guys in suits run out of the car and sprint off in all directions. The agent turns around and runs after one of the guys and we see the back of his jacket says “border patrol.”

I’m not really sure what the concept is for or exactly what the point of it is or if the idea continues on after that but I like the idea of these reversed roles and suddenly the rich white guy is the one trying to cross the border. So there you have, I put it on the line and if you have any feedback, I would love to hear it.
