My name is AK Hottman and I have an earthquake problem. In fact, as I write this - I am currently experiencing an earthquake. (http://bit.ly/9KsvIl). I love the thrill of a good shake but that’s not to say that the idea of the earth’s crust splintering apart as I am smashed beneath the rubble doesn’t terrify me. It does. But that is why I have started this blog… To laugh in the face of fear! The fear of earthquakes, airplanes, and public dumps. Through this blog I hope to put fear on the table and smash it with the heel of a good pair of boots. And I hope that you will join me.
And in the moments between our earthshaking experiences and our pee-piddled toilet seats, I hope to share some of my favorite videos, photographs and ideas with you, as well as some of my own films, photographs and stories. So please, like a fresh-out-of-the-womb calf suckling on the teet of it’s 1400 pound mother - indulge.
